Stepping into the Arena with Guerilla Politic!
Once again, working with a team of ambitious, talented young individuals from any organization can make the production of a video easier for me. More people willing to contribute and help plan the production, create scenarios and do as little as just showing up- helps produce a better final product.
I’m happy to have filmed and directed this piece for Adrienne and her team. The script was written by Adrienne, and the visuals were lead by myself. During the filming of this peice, I suggested the Guerilla team pose for a selfie, while I filmed it. Some people thought it felt corny, but the end result in video brought together the team for a feel good shot. Coming up with engaging themes for a rather dry subject such as political campaigning, you’ve got to be creative in order to catch people attention. This is a concept that I apply to all of my films.
Sometimes during a shoot you’ve got to try different things even though they might not feel right in the moment. That’s the great thing about edited and curating these projects, is being able to pick the right moments in the edit. Not everything makes the cut. My aim as a director editor is to only showcase the best of your business and make you look good.
