Hey everyone, Brandon Damon here, director and producer of “The WORKZ.” I’m excited to share some behind-the-scenes insights from our latest episode. Filming this episode was a blast, and I can’t wait to give you a peek into what went down.

Capturing Shawn’s Charisma

From the moment I stepped into the warehouse, I knew I was in for a treat. Telling the story from Shawn’s perspective was an experience. Shawn is charismatic and brings the perfect energy needed for “The WORKZ.” His enthusiasm and expertise made it easy to capture engaging footage, and his natural charm shone through the entire episode.

Unloading the Trailer and Preparing for Events

One of the most exciting parts of the day was filming the crew as they unloaded a trailer to prepare for an upcoming event. Watching them coordinate vehicle movements and set up the trailer was a lesson in teamwork and efficiency. This segment showcased the behind-the-scenes efforts that go into getting products and displays ready for transport to rallies.

Fun and Games with the Team

The camaraderie among the team was infectious. Whether it was playing games with K-cups or handling unexpected situations like running out of supplies, the crew kept things light-hearted and fun. Capturing these moments added a genuine, relatable touch to the episode, showing that even in a busy work environment, there’s always room for a bit of humor and relaxation.

The First Burnout Session

This episode was also my first time filming a burnout session, and it was a thrill! I used my 360 video camera to capture the entire process, with some fantastic filming assistance from Bailey. It was a rare opportunity to showcase the high-energy activities that go on behind the scenes. The burnouts added an exciting climax to the episode, blending perfectly with the day’s hard work and camaraderie. Something for the bikers who watch, lol.

Wrapping Up with a Smile

By the end of the day, we had not only accomplished a lot but also had a great time doing it. The trailer was unloaded, products were organized, and we even managed to squeeze in some fun with a burnout session. This episode was a fantastic opportunity to show off the behind-the-scenes hustle at Hogworkz, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

I hope you all enjoy watching “Labels, Lifts, and a Little Bit of Smoke!” as much as I enjoyed filming it. Stay tuned for more exciting episodes of “The WORKZ,” and don’t forget to share your thoughts and feedback. Until next time!

Cheers, Brandon Damon

Hey everyone, Brandon Damon here, the film producer behind the new series called “The WORKZ.” I’m thrilled to share some behind-the-scenes insights from filming Episode 3. This episode was an exciting journey, not just for the viewers but for me as well. Let’s dive into the experience!

A Day at the R&D Center

Filming this episode took about half a day, but those few hours were packed with catching the crew filming instructional videos, and learning the 3D scanning and printing processes. For the first time in the series, I got the chance to film actual motorcycles, which added an extra layer of excitement to the shoot. The setting for this episode was the impressive R&D Center in Oxford, Michigan. This facility is where the magic happens—reverse engineering, part fit testing, road testing, and shooting those detailed instructional videos you all love.

The Power of 3D Scanning and Modeling

One of the coolest parts of the day was witnessing the 3D scanning and modeling process. Al used a peel 3D scanner to capture precise data, which was then transformed into a 3D model in CAD software. Seeing the raw scan evolve into a refined, manufacturer-ready model was a testament to the cutting-edge technology and meticulous craftsmanship. I was able to follow along, and learn something new as I filmed the process.

What stood out most during the filming was the dedication and passion that go into every step of the process. From the initial scan to the final road test, every detail is meticulously checked and double-checked.

Filming this episode was an incredible experience, and I can’t wait to bring you more behind-the-scenes looks at the amazing work happening. Stay tuned for more episodes of “The WORKZ,” where we continue to explore the fascinating world of motorcycle customization and innovation!

Until next time, Brandon Damon

I wanted to share a behind-the-scenes look at our recent shoot for Episode 2: THE WORKZ.  Filmed with some of the Warehouse Team. I’m just getting introduced to all the cast of characters in the office and the warehouse, learning their personalities and what roles everyone plays.

In this episode, we witnessed firsthand the challenges the warehouse team faced due to a technical meltdown in their shipping system. The external shipping platform they relied on suddenly stopped working over the weekend, causing a backlog of orders. To quickly address the issue, they created a duplicate store to resume order processing. However, things took an unexpected turn when an old store was inadvertently reactivated, resulting in duplicate orders flooding in.

As a video producer, director, and editor, documenting these real-time challenges presents unique filming obstacles, especially when you’re filming real life scenarios. I have to be adaptable and ready to capture moments as they unfold, often without scripted direction. It’s about being in the right place at the right time, ensuring we capture the raw emotions and problem-solving processes authentically.

The team’s resilience and determination to resolve the shipping issues were inspiring. Despite the chaos, they remained focused on fulfilling customer orders efficiently. Everyone on The Team played their roles, and did their part. I’m excited about the challenge of telling their tory through “The Workz” series. This experience has only deepened my appreciation for their commitment to transparency and their willingness to share their journey with us.

Stay tuned for more behind-the-scenes action and stories as we continue to document their journey on “The Workz”.

Stay tuned,

Brandon Damon

The Workz Episode One

Hey everyone, Brandon Damon here, the co-producer of “The WORKZ.” I’m excited to share with you the first episode in the new series, shot entirely at the Headquarters. This was the first time filming with the crew, as they invited me in to share their paint process.

Filming a painting project presented its own set of challenges, especially when working under a tight deadline. We had to ensure that we captured every step of the process while still adhering to our schedule. Painting is a meticulous task, and any delays could affect the outcome of the project. Additionally, filming real people in a reality show setting adds another layer of complexity. We wanted to authentically capture the passion and dedication of the Paint Team, lead by Raphael and Jaz- without intruding on their workflow.

The energy and enthusiasm of the team were palpable as they prepared to showcase their latest bike project for the Tokyo Motorcycle Show. Zypher blue was the chosen color. Despite the pressure of the impending deadline, everyone remained focused and committed to delivering top-notch results.

One of the key highlights of filming this episode was witnessing the meticulous attention to detail during the painting process. From priming the bike parts to mixing the perfect shade of color, every step was executed with precision and care. It was fascinating to see how temperature control played a crucial role in achieving the desired finish, and the team’s expertise shone through as they navigated through potential challenges.

Of course, filming real people at work comes with its own set of surprises. There were moments of laughter and camaraderie as the team worked together to overcome any obstacles that arose. Whether it was joking around during a short break or discussing music preferences while painting, we were able to capture the genuine interactions that will make “The WORKZ” vlog truly special. My approach to filming these episodes will have more of a grassroots vlogger feel, employing some first person story-telling when possible. But still try to elevate the look through Sony optics.

As day one drew to a close, we wrapped up filming with a sense of accomplishment and excitement. Raphael sprayed a perfect clear coat, and I used a modified GoPro rig to capture the view from the sprayer. We had successfully captured the essence of creativity and craftsmanship at Headquarters, and I couldn’t be prouder of the team’s efforts. I was super excited to get home and start editing what I had just captured- almost before the paint dried!

I hope you’ll join us for the next episode of “The WORKZ” as we continue to explore the fascinating world of custom motorcycle painting and parts.

Until then, ride on!

-Brandon Damon
